About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Managing appointments and patient enquiries
- Processing Medicare, DVA and private billings
- Managing patient records and correspondence
- Handling incoming calls and emails
- Supporting doctors, nurses and allied health professionals
- Managing recalls, reminders and follow-up appointments
- Processing payments and daily banking reconciliation
- Maintaining confidentiality and privacy requirements
- Assisting with general administration and practice operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a General Practice, Specialist Clinic or Medical Centre
- Experience with Best Practice software (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare billing and claiming procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional presentation and positive attitude
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
