About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Storeman to join our established tile wholesale business in Sefton.
This is a hands-on warehouse role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in keeping a warehouse organised, and can work efficiently as part of a small, friendly team.
You will be responsible for the safe handling, storage and dispatch of tiles and related building products, while ensuring customer and delivery orders are prepared accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and put away incoming stock
- Pick, pack and prepare customer and delivery orders
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Safely handle tiles, cartons, pallets and other building materials
- Operate a forklift to load and unload stock
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe warehouse
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control
- Prepare tiles and products for customer collections
- Assist drivers with loading deliveries
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Perform general warehouse duties as required
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous warehouse, storeman or building-supplies experience
- Forklift experience
- Good physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and move heavy products
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- A current driver's licence is desirable
Tile, flooring, building materials or construction industry experience will be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.
