What you'll be doing

Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Social Work/Psychology /Occupational Therapy care to clients of the Child and Family Counselling Service consistent with SESLHD policies, procedures and standards.

Selection criteria
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award (Bachelor of Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers or Recognised four year degree in Psychology and registration as a Psychologist with- AHPRA) or Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with AHPRA and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
- Demonstrated core competency skills in psychosocial assessment, intervention including group facilitation with children and families impacted by trauma and adverse life events.
- Understanding and commitment to providing culturally safe interventions to Aboriginal families who have experienced interpersonal and intergenerational trauma.
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence-based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated participation in quality improvement processes, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
