We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Female Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a female NDIS participant. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in disability support, takes pride in delivering high-quality care, and is committed to building trust and positive outcomes.
Please note: This position is identified as female only due to the participant's personal care requirements and expressed preferences, in accordance with applicable anti-discrimination legislation and genuine occupational requirements.
About the Role
You will provide a combination of personal care, community access, transport, and social support, helping the participant maintain independence, engage in meaningful activities, and achieve her goals.
The participant enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting the beach, exploring new interests, and would like support to become more active in her community.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care
- Assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Assistance with toileting and continence care.
- Ensuring personal care tasks are completed thoroughly, respectfully, and to a high standard.
- Meal preparation and mealtime assistance as required.
Community Access & Transport
- Transporting the participant to appointments, activities, and community outings using your own reliable and insured vehicle.
- Assisting with transfers into and out of vehicles using a slide board.
- Supporting participation in community activities and social engagement.
Capacity Building & Social Support
- Encouraging participation in existing interests and exploring new opportunities.
- Supporting attendance at community activities such as walking groups, art programs, and recreational outings.
- Promoting independence, confidence, and social inclusion.
- Assisting the participant to establish meaningful daily routines and remain engaged throughout the day.

- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to assist with transfers and personal care tasks.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Full comprehensive car insurance.
- Valid Victorian Driver Licence.
Participant-Specific Requirements
To ensure the participant feels comfortable, respected, and well supported, successful applicants must:
- Be female.
- Have previous disability support experience.
- Maintain short, clean, and well-groomed natural nails (no long nails or acrylic nails).
- Be respectful of established routines, preferences, and support requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
- Deliver personal care attentively and consistently, ensuring the participant's health, comfort, and dignity are always maintained.
