PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Culture Care Connect Aftercare Worker is responsible for providing assertive and timely follow-up care for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people referred to this service following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis, in line with the co-designed aftercare model of care.
The person in this role will be resourced with strong training and ongoing support mechanisms including clinical and cultural supervision.
Qualifications-possess cert IV in ATSI primary health and/or mental health and/or community services or equivalent training or experience. Or if they are currently enrolled and studying in these fields
Experience working with ATSI people and families in communities in times of Grief and Loss and suicide prevention.
Strong knowledge and sense of awareness to Aboriginal culture and history, knowledge of current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people.

Current C-Class Driver's License.
