Job Description:
The Production & Logistics Officer is an officer-level support role focused on assisting with the day-to-day coordination of production, inventory, logistics, and compliance activities across SalDoce Fine Foods’ manufacturing and warehouse network. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role suits a proactive and detail-oriented candidate who can support multiple functions in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sales Forecasting and Planning
- Assist the Purchasing Manager with production planning and replenishment coordination based on sales requirements and stock levels.
2. Production, Purchasing and Inventory Control
- Assist with production requirements and coordination to help meet customer demand and sales objectives.
- Maintain accurate production, purchasing and inventory records in the ERP system.
- Assist with stock coordination across multiple warehouses and contract manufacturers, including receiving and verifying stock movements.
- Assist with maintaining ingredient and packaging records, including production documentation and forms.
- Support supplier and co-manufacturer documentation requirements through follow-up, record maintenance and coordination.
- Support the Procurement/Purchasing Manager in coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to support the timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
- Assist in maintaining the purchase register and delivery schedules, ensuring receivals and assembly builds are accurately processed in the ERP system.
3. Contract Manufacturer Coordination
- Assist with liaising with co-manufacturers to support compliance with company procedures and relevant national and international requirements.
- Support co-manufacturer follow-up actions and assist with maintaining related records and communications.
- Assist with coordinating and maintaining documentation for new products, ingredients and related changes.
- Assist in maintaining product specifications for YesYouCan and other company products.
4. Quality, Compliance and Key Activities
- Assist with maintaining records and documentation required for HACCP and customer compliance programs.
- Assist with monitoring incoming materials and ingredients through the Approved Supplier Program.
- Assist with internal and external audits, by maintaining required documentation.
- Assist with maintaining raw material and supplier/manufacturer quality documents such as PIFs, COAs and other relevant records.
- Assist in ensuring ingredients and packaging received are properly recorded in the ERP system for traceability and product tracking.
- Maintain records relating to formulation or recipe changes as directed.
- Monitor task timelines and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to support on-time completion of key activities.
5. General Administration
- Provide administrative and coordination support across production, procurement, logistics and compliance activities to help improve efficiency and accuracy.
Key Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience in production, supply chain, logistics, procurement or operations support, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems for inventory, purchasing and production management.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, supplier documentation and quality compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory or supply chain software highly regarded.
- Qualification in Supply Chain, Food Science, Business, or a related field would be an advantage.
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
