We are looking for a commercially driven Area Manager for NSW responsible for developing the region, with a strong focus on industrial customers and larger manufacturing businesses.
This role goes beyond selling equipment.
You will work closely with customers to:
- understand their production processes
- identify opportunities across multiple technologies
- help improve efficiency and overall business performance
You will also have the opportunity to visit SCM factories in Italy together with customers, supporting major projects and strengthening long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow the NSW area with a focus on industrial-level customers
- Identify new business opportunities
- Expand existing customers across multiple product lines
- Analyse customer production processes and propose improvements
- Lead the full sales cycle (prospecting demo negotiation closing)
- Conduct machine demonstrations at our Technology Centre
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, and customer interactions using Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Work with Aftersales Manager and the Customer Care team to drive the development of service and lifecycle solutions (servitisation), including maintenance contracts and IoT-enabled support, improving customer efficiency and long-term value
About you
We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in the woodworking or manufacturing industry. This may include:
- Experience in woodworking machinery / capital equipment sales
- Experience in the same industry supplying complementary products or services (e.g. tooling, components, software, materials) to a similar customer base
- Background in woodworking, cabinet making, or manufacturing, combined with strong commercial drive and ambition

- Comfortable working with industrial customers and production environments
- Able to identify growth opportunities within customer operations
- Results-driven and proactive
- Interested in technical solutions and production processes
- Able to act as a trusted advisor, not just a salesperson
- Structured and organised in managing your pipeline
- Familiar with CRM systems
