We are seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about working with children and their families
- Experienced or interested in working with a diverse range of paediatric developmental, sensory, and physical challenges
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, who values teamwork
- Applicants Require the Following:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a current National Police Check
- A driver’s license and reliable vehicle for off-site visits
- Previous paediatric experience is preferable, new graduates are welcome to apply
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
About us:
We are a young and fun allied health team based in Fairfield. We strongly hold a family centred approach, working with the families to provide optimal therapy outcomes. We work with children aged 18 months to 17 years old. We enjoy working as a team, attending team events and debriefing between sessions with each other.
About the role:
In this position, you will:
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to the needs of children and their families
- Develop and implement client-centred therapy plans to support children’s development, independence and participation in daily activities
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
- Opportunity to organise and run social groups and group therapy sessions
- Conduct therapy sessions in the clinic, homes, schools and preschools as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports for clients
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical practice.
