About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 to lead the Interventional Unit at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
The Interventional Unit provides specialised diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across a range of services, supporting patients requiring complex interventional care. As the Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and evidence-based care while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
As the Nursing Unit Manager – Interventional Unit, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Interventional Unit, ensuring exceptional patient-centred care.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary services to support timely access to interventional procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical and operational leadership, including workforce planning, resource management and financial oversight.
- Lead, coach and develop nursing staff through mentoring, education and performance management.
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, NSW Health policies and professional standards.
- Build collaborative relationships with medical, nursing, allied health and support services to ensure seamless patient care.
- Support service development and innovation to meet the growing needs of the Interventional Unit.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Extensive senior nursing leadership experience within an interventional, procedural, perioperative, critical care or acute clinical environment.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex clinical services and deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce, resource and financial management within a busy healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, mentor and inspire teams.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and delivering outstanding patient care.
- Current Class C Driver Licence with the ability and willingness to travel if required.
