Talent Acquisition Specialist – Run end-to-end recruitment for a growing mining company
Monday – Friday | Full-time | Hybrid Melbourne + regular site travel to Sunday Creek
6 Month Initial Contract | HR Team | Start July – August 2026
We’re looking for a delivery-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to run end-to-end recruitment across SXGC on an initial 6-month contract as Sunday Creek scales toward production.
Why SXGC?
Because your work here matters.
SXGC is a growing company moving from exploration into development of one of Australia’s most exciting gold and antimony discoveries. The workforce is scaling fast – from around 90 people toward 200 and beyond – which means real volume, variety and hiring-leader exposure for someone who loves the craft of recruitment. We offer hybrid Melbourne-based work with regular site time, a strong team and the chance to leave the TA function better than you found it.
About the Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist covers an initial 6-month period running SXGC’s end-to-end recruitment. About 85% of the role is delivery – managing hiring briefs, advertising, sourcing, structured interviews, Predictive Index assessments, references and offers across exploration, technical, operations and corporate roles. The remaining 15% is invested in defined improvement projects: HiBob TA workflow, EVP content, process refinement and the PI reference library.
What You’ll Drive
End-to-end recruitment across exploration, technical services, operations and corporate
Quality hiring briefs with managers – outcomes, PI reference profile, values, interview structure
Predictive Index and structured interview guides for every role, every time
Advertising, sourcing, shortlisting, references and offer preparation
HiBob recruitment records – pipeline status, hiring activity and time-to-hire reporting
30-day onboarding coordination and contractor ways-of-working briefs
Defined improvement projects – HiBob TA workflow, EVP content, PI reference library
Who You Are
You take real pride in the craft of recruitment – quality briefings, disciplined process and candidate experience that people remember for the right reasons. You’re a strong communicator who can represent a company well to senior candidates, and you bring the discipline to use PI and structured interviews on every role, not just when it’s easy.
Your Background
✔ Demonstrated end-to-end recruitment experience across multiple functions
✔ Experience administering Predictive Index (or willingness to certify)
✔ Comfortable running structured interview guides and quality hiring briefs
✔ Solid working knowledge of an ATS / HRIS – HiBob experience a plus
✔ Strong written and verbal communication; confident with senior stakeholders
✔ Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or related discipline
✔ Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel to Sunday Creek for key interviews
