United Pacific Tern Pty Ltd T/A Flaming Karachi is a well-established Pakistani and North Indian restaurant in Perth, renowned for authentic traditional cuisine and high-quality customer service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our busy kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present a variety of authentic Pakistani and North Indian dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, curries, rice, breads and accompaniments for daily service.
- Portion, season and cook food while maintaining consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
- Garnishing and arranging food according to specific recipes to ensure visual appeal.
- Assist in menu preparation and daily food production.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and minimise food wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils and food preparation areas.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
- Labelling, dating, and rotating ingredients using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation, storage and inventory control.
- Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen staff where required.
Qualification & Experience required for this position
- Certificate III in commercial cookery with 2 years on-job training or Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or commercial cookery.
- At least one year of relevant full-time work experience in a similar role.
- Experience preparing authentic Pakistani, Indian or South Asian cuisine is highly regarded.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary – $79,600 - $82,000 plus super
