About the opportunity
As our Senior Platform Engineer Azure, you'll play a key role in modernising and uplifting Australia Post's cloud platform capability. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of platform engineers to design, build and automate secure Azure cloud solutions, helping drive best practice engineering, DevOps and cloud-native ways of working across the enterprise.
You’ll also
- Lead the design, build and implementation of Azure cloud platform solutions that improve developer experience and business outcomes.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevOps best practices to improve consistency, efficiency and scalability across cloud platforms.
- Improve cloud security, governance, observability and access management while helping remediate vulnerabilities across the platform.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical direction and help embed a software engineering mindset across Technology teams.
About you
You're a collaborative and pragmatic cloud engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and driving positive change. You thrive in environments where you can influence outcomes, challenge the status quo respectfully, and bring people on the journey. You're equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves technically as you are partnering with stakeholders, coaching others and helping shape the future of cloud engineering.
You’ll also need
- Strong experience in Azure Cloud Platform engineering, DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions, ideally using GitLab, with programming experience in languages such as Golang or Python.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive technical outcomes and champion modern engineering practices in complex environments.
