Client Solutions Specialist
Full-time | North Sydney | Base salary + performance bonuses
Build a rewarding career while helping people overcome financial difficulty
Debt Fix is seeking a confident and compassionate Client Solutions Specialist to join our North Sydney team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customer service or sales experience—such as retail, hospitality, telecommunications, banking or contact-centre sales—who would like to build a professional career in financial services.
Previous insolvency experience is not required. We provide structured training and ongoing support. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, communicate confidently over the telephone, learn quickly and follow an ethical, structured client-engagement process.
About Debt Fix
Debt Fix is an established Australian debt agreement administration and debt solutions business. We help people experiencing financial difficulty understand the options that may be available to them and take practical steps towards greater financial stability.
Our clients are often dealing with stressful and sensitive circumstances. We therefore place a strong emphasis on empathy, professionalism, compliance and appropriate client outcomes.
About the role
As a Client Solutions Specialist, you will be one of the first people prospective clients speak with when they contact Debt Fix.
You will build rapport, ask appropriate questions and gather information about each person’s financial circumstances. Using Debt Fix’s approved processes and information, you will explain potential debt-relief pathways and arrange further assessment by appropriately authorised team members.
This is a consultative, target-driven client engagement role. It is not a high-pressure sales environment. Ethical conduct, accurate information and appropriate client outcomes are essential measures of success.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to enquiries from prospective clients by telephone, email and SMS.
- Follow up leads and maintain regular contact with prospective clients.
- Build trust and rapport through confident, empathetic and professional communication.
- Ask structured questions to understand each client’s financial circumstances and objectives.
- Conduct preliminary fact-finding and eligibility checks using approved processes.
- Provide general information about potential solutions, including Part IX Debt Agreements, informal arrangements and bankruptcy.
- Clearly explain Debt Fix’s processes, fees and next steps using approved information and disclosures.
- Refer suitable matters to appropriately authorised team members for further assessment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions in the CRM.
- Follow privacy, disclosure, quality-assurance and regulatory procedures.
- Work towards agreed activity, quality and conversion targets.
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching and professional development.
About you
You are confident speaking with people over the telephone and have the ability to quickly make them feel comfortable. You enjoy achieving results, but you also understand the importance of listening carefully and treating people experiencing financial difficulty with patience and respect.
You will ideally have:
- At least one year of sales or customer service experience, including experience gained in retail, hospitality, telecommunications, banking or a contact centre.
- A confident, warm and professional telephone manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- A completed tertiary qualification in business, commerce, communications, psychology, social sciences or another relevant discipline.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in financial services.
- The maturity and empathy required to discuss sensitive personal and financial circumstances.
- Strong listening, questioning and problem-solving skills.
- The motivation to work towards individual and team performance targets.
- Good attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- The ability to learn and consistently follow structured processes.
- Confidence using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and other digital platforms.
- Full Australian working rights.
Previous experience in financial services would be helpful but is not essential.
What we offer
- A competitive base salary plus an attractive bonus structure.
- Comprehensive training in debt solutions, client assessment and regulatory requirements.
- Regular coaching and professional development.
- Supplied leads and an established client-engagement process.
- A supportive and experienced team environment.
- Clear performance expectations and opportunities for career progression.
- The satisfaction of helping people take meaningful steps towards financial stability.
- A professional office conveniently located in North Sydney.
