About the role
The Senior Clinician - primarily provides direct expert therapy for this group of consumers. The Bloom Project Principal Clinician is a person who through education, professional development and experience is able to effectively ensure and provide quality services to mothers, infants and families experiencing complex, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, within a multidisciplinary and interagency team context.
Key duties of the role
Provide, contribute and deliver proficient Mental Health clinical care to clients and their families using evidence-based practice
Demonstrate a commitment to consumer participation and Team Leadership.
Ensure services are delivered in a culturally responsive manner
Encourage and foster a positive, safe work environment while contributing clinical expertise in a learning environment.
Responsible for individual development and education while contributing to research and evaluation programs.
Skills and Experience
Appropriate degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy with current registration/membership with the relevant professional body (PsyBA/AASW/OT Australia)
Extensive clinical experience in mental health services, preferably in perinatal and infant mental health settings
Demonstrated ability to conduct complex psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Strong knowledge of attachment theory, developmental frameworks, and relevant assessment and intervention models
