Urban Restaurant & Wine Bar is a small, family-owned restaurant on Darby Street, focused on genuine hospitality, European-inspired food, wine, cocktails and warm, professional service.
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and friendly Front of House team member to join our small team.
Previous experience working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment is essential. We are looking specifically for someone with restaurant or wine bar experience — fast-food experience alone is not suitable for this role.
Availability
- Wednesday to Friday dinner service
- Saturday lunch & dinner service
- Additional Sunday day shift may become available with monthly events
About the role
You’ll be involved in all aspects of restaurant service, including:
- Providing warm, attentive and professional service
- Managing your own section during busy services
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately
- Wine sales and recommendations
- Running food and drinks
- Setting, clearing and resetting tables
- Maintaining excellent venue presentation and cleanliness
- Working efficiently as part of a small team during fast-paced services
What we’re looking for
- Previous restaurant experience is essential
- Experience working in a busy, fast-paced service environment
- Valid NSW RSA
- Confident carrying plates, taking orders and managing a section
- Friendly, confident and comfortable communicating with guests
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stay organised and work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality
- Cocktail and wine knowledge is highly regarded
