This is an ideal role for a registrar looking to consolidate clinical experience, build procedural confidence, and work closely with senior specialists in a collaborative, teaching-focused environment.
The Hospital & Department
This is a major regional referral hospital servicing a large and diverse catchment area across regional WA.
The Paediatric Department includes:
- Consultant Paediatricians with broad subspecialty interests
- A dedicated paediatric ward
- Special Care Nursery support
- Active involvement in outreach and regional health services
- Strong multidisciplinary collaboration
- Excellent exposure to acute and complex presentations
You will gain valuable experience managing a wide spectrum of paediatric cases, with meaningful responsibility and direct consultant supervision.
The Role
As an Advanced Trainee Registrar, you will:
- Manage inpatient and outpatient paediatric cases
- Participate in on-call and acute paediatric presentations
- Work closely with experienced consultant paediatricians
- Be involved in teaching, case discussions, and service development
- Gain broad regional exposure not always available in metro centres
