We are currently seeking experienced Casual Support Workers to provide high-intensity, complex care within a SDA Setting

About the Role
You will be supporting a participant with high and complex care needs, requiring consistent 1:1 and 2:1 support, including active and passive overnight shifts.
This role involves delivering person-centred care while supporting safety, dignity, and quality of life across all daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the participant with:
- All activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene
- Safe mobility and transfers (including 2:1 assist and use of hoist/sling lifter)
- Meal preparation and 1:1 assisted feeding in line with dysphagia guidelines
- Medication support (full assistance required)
- Behavioural support and emotional regulation
- Community access and social engagement where appropriate
- Maintaining a safe environment, particularly managing high falls risk
Complex Support Requirements
This role involves supporting a participant with:
- Neurodegenerative condition (including cognitive and physical decline)
- Dementia-related behaviours and reduced communication capacity
- High falls risk due to impulsivity and unsafe mobility
- Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) requiring supervised eating/drinking
- Sleep disturbances, including agitation and wakefulness overnight
- Continence support needs
- Behavioural and safety risks requiring structured support approaches
You must be confident working in 2:1 environments, including during transfers, personal care, and overnight support.
Overnight Support
- Combination of active and inactive overnight shifts
- Ongoing monitoring, supervision, and support with mobility and toileting
- Managing sleep disturbances, restlessness, and behavioural responses
- Ability to respond to escalating situations calmly and safely
What do I need?
- Current NDIS Worker Check
- Current DHS Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR (up to date)
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
- Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- Assist with Medication training
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar
- Experience with high-intensity/complex care clients (essential)
Highly regarded:- Experience with dysphagia management and mealtime support
- Experience supporting participants with dementia or neurodegenerative conditions
