Description:
The opportunity
We are currently seeking a Boilermaker to join our fixed plant maintenance team, supporting the Processing function at our Duketon operations. You will assist with the maintenance of the crusher, milling circuits, laboratory and all associated infrastructure to ensure a smooth, continual milling process is maintained at all times.
This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster (ex-Perth).
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Inspecting work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects
Examining drawings, manuals or specifications to determine work methods, sequence of activities or manufacture of components
Diagnosing faults or breakdowns
Estimating time and materials required to complete jobs and raising orders for materials
Undertaking repairs or component change outs in a fixed plant environment as required
Undertaking GET repairs and maintenance on HME equipment
Working with other disciplines in a fixed plant environment
Cleaning and maintenance of tools and work area
Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
Training of other personnel or apprentices (if required)
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Relevant trade qualification
Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry
Willingness to be part of and contribute to a high performing department
A current manual WA class C driver’s licence
Confined Space and Working at Heights permits
Rigger / Dogman ticket (preferable)
Basic / Intermediate scaffolding ticket an advantage (or at least willing to undertake training towards this)
Licenced to operate HRL fork truck/ telehandler / EWP (preferable)
CN license and HR license (preferable)
