Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating marketing campaigns and initiatives that increase brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and business growth. The role develops marketing content, manages digital channels, analyses campaign performance, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to achieve marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analyse customer behaviour, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, search, websites, and other channels.
- Create and coordinate marketing content, including website copy, social media posts, newsletters, promotional materials, and campaign assets.
- Manage and maintain company websites, social media platforms, and digital marketing channels.
- Develop and execute SEO and SEM strategies to increase online visibility and website traffic.
- Manage email marketing campaigns and customer communications.
- Coordinate advertising campaigns and work with agencies, designers, copywriters, and other external suppliers.
- Monitor marketing campaign performance using analytics and reporting tools.
- Prepare marketing reports and analyse key performance indicators, conversion rates, engagement, traffic, and return on investment.
- Assist with brand management and ensure consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
- Support product launches, promotional campaigns, events, exhibitions, and other marketing activities.
- Manage marketing budgets, schedules, and campaign deliverables.
- Develop customer personas and support customer segmentation initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales, product, business development, and management teams.
- Identify new marketing opportunities and recommend strategies to improve customer acquisition and retention.
- Stay informed about emerging marketing technologies, digital trends, and industry developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Marketing Specialist, Marketing Coordinator, Digital Marketing Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing principles and marketing campaign management.
- Experience with SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using marketing analytics and reporting tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital marketing platforms.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and project-management skills.
- Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging marketing content.
- Strong understanding of customer behaviour and market research.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of CRM and marketing automation systems.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other content-design tools.
- Understanding of Australian consumer and advertising regulations.
- Familiarity with Australian market trends and customer behaviour.
- Experience with B2B or B2C marketing.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and paid advertising.
- Australian work rights or an appropriate Australian work visa.
