You can influence outcomes and meet diverse challenges.
You’ll have the opportunity to use your expertise in communication, problem-solving, empathy and conflict resolution to help thousands of people every day.
In this role, you'll:
Play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable and high-performing operation of the Sydney Metro North West and Bankstown Line as part of the team responsible for the management and resolution of residual asset issues within the Southwest Corridor.
Working across a diverse portfolio of inherited aged assets, you will work on the identification, scoping, prioritisation, delivery and integration of residual asset works spanning track, overhead wiring, civil and structural infrastructure, balancing operational, commercial, engineering and safety considerations to achieve value-for-money outcomes and the best operational and customer results.
Working closely with operators, contractors and delivery partners; along with defects, operations, commercial and engineering teams, you will assess and resolve complex asset issues within a live rail environment, navigating operational constraints while maintaining a strong focus on safety, performance and asset reliability.
Your ability to bring stakeholders together, remove barriers and build consensus will be critical as you lead multiple workstreams and influence outcomes across a broad stakeholder landscape. This role offers a unique blend of operational, technical and commercial responsibility, requiring you to review operational performance and engineering information, make informed decisions, deliver practical solutions within scope, quality, time and cost constraints, and provide clear reporting on risks, progress and priorities to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
With exposure to a wide range of engineering disciplines and operational challenges, you will have the opportunity to shape both immediate solutions and longer-term asset management strategies that support the continued success of one of Australia's most significant transport networks
