We're currently seeking a
Quality Assurance Officer – Day Shift to join our high-performing team at our Brisbane manufacturing site in Wacol. If you're passionate about food safety, quality, and continuous improvement, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your career with a trusted Australian FMCG business.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Food Safety & Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance. Working closely with Production and cross-functional teams, you'll help drive a strong quality culture across the site while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine in-process quality checks and finished product inspections.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Support investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints and corrective actions.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate QA documentation and records in line with HACCP and site procedures.
- Collaborate with Production and other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote and champion a proactive food safety and quality culture across the site.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of the site's Food Safety Culture Plan.
- Complete other duties as required by the business.
The Person
To be successful in this role, you'll have previous experience within Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment and enjoy working collaboratively to drive best practice and continuous improvement.
You'll also bring:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and food safety principles.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience using QA systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and food safety excellence.
