LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Security, and Network services.
We're looking for an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer for an initial 3-6 months contract in Sydney. In this role, you'll be the face of IT for our client, providing hands-on technical support, resolving issues quickly and ensuring users remain productive and connected.
The Role:
- Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
- Deliver exceptional support to end users, including VIP and executive stakeholders.
- Configure, deploy, upgrade and decommission end-user devices.
- Manage user accounts, access requests and identity services through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Provision and maintain devices using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM.
- Support Microsoft 365 technologies
- Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate asset records and documentation.
- Contribute to knowledge articles, process improvement initiatives and ITIL-aligned service delivery methods.
The Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years' experience in Desktop / EUC Support
- Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
- Device management experience using Microsoft Intune
- Practical Microsoft 365 support experience
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issues.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and wireless networking concepts.
- Experience working with ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
- CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ certifications.
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or Modern Desktop Administrator.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
