About the role
We are a fast-paced digital print and signage company specialising in delivering the unusual for our clients. We have several graphic designers on staff providing a full range of design services from working up concepts with clients to prepping pre-press files and working with production to ensure jobs are completed on time and as needed.
Our clients range from other small businesses to government and large corporate customers. We often work to tight deadlines and partner closely with clients to ensure that we understand their requirements and deliver what they need when they need it.
This is a 12-month non-ongoing, full-time position to backfill an upcoming maternity vacancy.
We work 38 hours per week, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Mon - Thurs and 9.00 am to 5.30 pm on Fridays. Occasionally there may be a requirement to work paid overtime to ensure we can deliver for our customers.
About the person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced graphic designer to work as part of our fun, friendly team. If you have experience in the print industry that would be an advantage although if you have good design skills we can teach you the rest.

We are looking for someone that likes to work autonomously, can take accountability and work to deadlines, enjoys working as part of a fast-paced, client-focused team, and is happy to be involved in a wide range of different graphic design work.
You will need to be a graphic designer skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other related software and who can skillfully manipulate or create artwork ready for print/production based on our client's instructions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with clients to understand their requirements for their design work and to take their concepts from minor edits to full layouts as needed.
- Preparing artwork files for proofing, printing and production including pre-press setup of supplied files with bleed and crops etc.
- Communicate directly with clients, customer service and production teams to ensure efficient workflows from design to production.
- Be proactive in meeting client deadlines using our internal job-tracking systems and processes.

This is a full-time role to backfill a staff member going on maternity leave. Initially, the position will be for 12 months but there may be an opportunity to extend beyond that time.

Skills and experience
You will need the following talents and skills to succeed in this role.
- Graphic design skills in Adobe Creative Suite essential
- Producing a range of artwork from branding through to multi-page documents and large-format signage
- Experience working within strict corporate standards, while bringing a fresh and creative approach
- Ability to juggle changing workloads and priorities regularly, and as needed, during the day!
- Bring an exceptional, professional approach to customer service
- Be a team player with an outgoing friendly personality
- Have excellent oral, writing, presentation and organization skills
- Very strong attention to detail including proofreading your own work and that of your colleagues to ensure accuracy
- A passion for graphic design and the type of person that takes great pride in their finished product
- Experience with signage and packaging design, wide format printers and digital cutting tables would be an advantage but not essential
- Finally, and most importantly, the AdPrint Digital 'Can Do Attitude'
We are really looking for someone who will not just see this as a 'design role' but as the chance to learn the entire design, print, and finishing processes from our experienced team.
Pay: $54,195.78 – $70,000.00 per year
