We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and committed candidates for the Vascular Unaccredited Trainee position at The Sutherland Hospital for the 2027 clinical year.
The Sutherland Hospital is a 375 bed Major Metropolitan Teaching Hospital affiliated with the University of NSW, located in the Sutherland Shire 25 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. A 44 bed Emergency Department which includes 3 resuscitation bays, dedicated Adult and Paediatric Fast Track areas, an 8 bed ED Short Stay Unit, a collocated Radiology Department with CT scanner. The addition of 60 new acute inpatient beds, including 6 additional ICU beds and a 16 bed General Medical Unit. There are 24hr diagnostic services and excellent support from Mental Health, ICU and community/aged care services and nursing staff. Sutherland Hospital provides a 24/7 Interventional Cardiology service. Inpatient services include most subspecialties; General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Oncology, Renal, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Mental Health.
What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of vascular surgical patients at the Sutherland Hospital and participate in a vascular surgical training program for St George and the Sutherland Hospitals.
