Job Description
Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician looking to make a difference in a friendly and collaborative environment?
Join the dedicated clinical team at Pindara Private Hospital as a Part-Time Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic. As a member of our clinical team, you will plan, evaluate and deliver high-quality care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders.
Working within the perioperative environment, you will provide safe, patient-centred care throughout the anaesthetic journey while working closely with anaesthetists, surgeons and the broader multidisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to further develop your anaesthetic nursing expertise within a supportive and dynamic theatre environment.
About You
You are a dedicated Registered Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician with recent anaesthetic experience in a large acute hospital environment and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You have confident communication and interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgement and the ability to work effectively in a busy perioperative environment.
You are passionate about providing safe, high-quality care and enjoy working collaboratively with patients, families, anaesthetists, surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, patient-centred nursing care.

Provide safe and effective nursing care throughout the anaesthetic and perioperative journey.

Assist with the preparation and delivery of anaesthetic care within your scope of practice.

Monitor patients throughout anaesthesia and recognise and respond appropriately to changes in their clinical condition.

Prepare, check and maintain anaesthetic equipment, machines, ventilators and associated equipment.

Assist with airway management and ensure appropriate emergency equipment is available and functioning.

Support patients receiving regional and/or epidural anaesthesia where required.

Assist with paediatric anaesthesia and care where appropriately trained and competent.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with relevant policies and procedures.

Ensure anaesthetic equipment and clinical areas are appropriately prepared, stocked and maintained.

Work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Promote patient safety, infection prevention and high standards of clinical practice.

Participate in ongoing education, training and professional development.
You Will Also Bring

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

Relevant nursing degree or Diploma of Anaesthetics
-
Minimum 12 months' recent anaesthetic experience working in a large acute hospital – essential.

Experience in anaesthesia monitoring and use of anaesthetic equipment.

Knowledge of anaesthesia machines and anaesthetic ventilators.

Experience with regional and/or epidural anaesthesia is desirable.

Paediatric anaesthesia experience is highly regarded.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Exceptional customer service and a strong patient-centred approach.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster.

On-call requirements.

Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $39.96 – $54.01, plus superannuation, based on experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties and allowances, in accordance with the applicable Ramsay Health Care Queensland Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement.
