What you will be doing
- Develop plans and proposals for new facilities and the maintenance, upgrade or replacement of existing equipment as appropriate.
- Anticipate future equipment expenditure requirements and prepare capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
- Manage projects according to engineering benchmarks concerning excellence, quality, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and the Innovation Manager on safety standards, labels on Cylinders, cylinder specifications, as well as with the Regional Operations Manager on new plant equipment for the cylinder production facility.
- Develop the design and specification of new cryogenic and high pressure gas plant and equipment as required and project manage construction, commissioning, and handover as appropriate.
- Provide engineering guidance on specifications, delivery and execution of gas pump upgrades, general plant upgrades or equipment upgrades.
- Manage project timelines and financial projections with the relevant stakeholders after approvals has been received.
- Direct the preparation of specifications for purchase as to quality, quantity, delivery and service required for the purchase of cryogenic and high pressure gas plant equipment, supplies and materials to meet schedules.
- Develop and execute engineering solutions and strategies characterised by engineering excellence.
- Ensure activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, legal demands and professional and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement systems/ documents (e.g. SOPs, JSAs, training content) .
- Develop maintenance regimes for plant and equipment at Coregas sites, customer sites, etc ensuring regulatory compliance and best operating practice is appropriately considered and is in line with WHS standards.
- Deliver on-site training workshops as required.
- Oversee the technical aspects of cryogenic and high pressure gas plant and equipment including cylinder packages.
- Coordinate the maintenance of Coregas assets to ensure they are maintained, and regulatory compliance is appropriately considered.
- Ensure maintenance is planned and executed to achieve the required cryogenic and high pressure gas transport availability targets.
- Ensure a safe work environment for all staff & customers in accordance with the company’s Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health policies.
- Provide expert advice on pressure vessels, cylinders, plant equipment and safe working practices to support Operations and Sales staff and their customers. As much as possible, develop and maintain direct relationships with suppliers and customers.
Salary range is between- $175,000- $185,000
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- Seasoned professional with 15 to 20+ years of experience managing multidisciplined engineering and maintenance activities in a large scale cryogenics environment, to achieve safe, cost-effective and quality results.
