Queen Repairs is a specialist electronics repair workshop focused on gaming consoles, computers, and consumer electronics. We specialise in hardware diagnostics and repair, including fault-finding at component level, soldering, and board-level troubleshooting.
We are looking for a hands-on electronics technician who understands how devices work physically, enjoys troubleshooting hardware faults, and takes pride in repair quality and precision.
About the Role
This role is strictly hands-on hardware repair. You will be diagnosing faults and repairing electronic devices at both component and board level where required.
This is not a software or IT support role. It is focused on physical diagnostics, repair, and restoration of electronic hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair desktop computers, laptops, Macs, smartphones, tablets, and gaming consoles.
- Perform hardware-level troubleshooting and fault isolation.
- Carry out soldering and component-level repairs where required.
- Replace and repair damaged components on circuit boards.
- Test and verify all repairs before completion.
- Maintain accurate repair notes and job records.
- Keep the workshop organised and maintain professional standards.
Requirements
- Practical experience with electronics repair or hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and how devices function at hardware level.
- Confident soldering skills.
- Ability to diagnose faults without relying on software or operating system tools.
- Comfortable working independently on physical repairs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable Experience
- Microsoldering or advanced board-level repair experience.
- Experience with gaming consoles such as PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, hot air stations, and related equipment.
- Background in electronics repair, not IT support or software troubleshooting.
