Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator - Full Time
Alpine Children’s Services is seeking a Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at our service in Myrtleford (Mountain View Children's Centre), on a full time basis. This position is suited to an experienced educator who is confident in leading quality practice, supporting colleagues, and delivering strong outcomes for children and families.
The successful applicant will hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or recognised equivalent, and have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working as a Diploma-qualified educator in Australia. Applicants must have a strong working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, VEYLDF, Child Safe Standards, child safeguarding obligations, mandatory reporting, active supervision, and inclusive practice.
This role requires an educator who can design, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs, maintain respectful and responsive relationships with children and families, support children’s health, safety, and wellbeing, and confidently contribute to a professional team environment. Applicants must demonstrate practical experience in child safeguarding, including identifying and responding to child safety concerns, maintaining safe supervision practices, and complying with child-safe regulations and reporting requirements.
Diploma-qualified educators at ACS will also be required to act as the Responsible Person when required.
Essential requirements:

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or recognised equivalent
- Minimum 12 months’ Australian experience as a Diploma-qualified educator
- Must be willing to relocate to Myrtleford
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, Child Protection training, and other mandated training
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in child safeguarding, Child Safe Standards, mandatory reporting, and child safe regulations
- Strong understanding of active supervision, risk management, and safe professional boundaries with children
- Ability to lead quality practice, mentor others, and uphold ACS values
