Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Data Migration to support a large-scale Telecom OSS (Operations Support Systems) BSS (Business Support Systems) transformation program. The role focuses on end-to-end data migration activities, including requirement gathering, data model analysis, stakeholder engagement, and validation of migrated data across business and technical teams.The ideal candidate will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, data architects, and technical delivery teams to ensure accurate and business-aligned migration of customer and product data.Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including business SMEs and technical subject matter experts, to understand existing data models, business rules, and system dependencies across BSS/OSS environments.
- Lead and facilitate requirements gathering workshops to capture and document:
- Customer and product data mappings
- Data transformation and validation rules
- Business acceptance criteria for migrated data
- Develop and maintain clear documentation of data migration requirements, mappings, and business rules to support implementation and testing teams.
- Validate attribute-level data mappings with business users to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business expectations.
- Support and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, including test scenario definition, validation support, and defect resolution tracking.
- Ensure migrated data meets defined business functional requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data architects, and technical teams throughout the data migration lifecycle.
- Provide ongoing support during migration cycles, including issue analysis, root cause identification, and resolution coordination.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Data Migration programs, preferably within Telecom BSS/OSS environments.
- Deep understanding of customer, product, and service data domains.
- Proven experience in data mapping, data transformation, and validation rule definition.
- Hands-on involvement in UAT planning and execution.
- Strong ability to interpret complex data models and system dependencies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in large-scale transformation or legacy system migration projects.
Pay: $98,764.09 – $145,718.48 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sydney NSW
