MyerGroup has a new and exciting role in Marketing - The Category Marketing Manager - Womenswear is responsible for leading the strategic and tactical marketing direction for the Womenswear category across Myer. The role drives category growth by defining clear customer‑led narratives, optimising trade plans, elevating brand storytelling and shaping campaign priorities across owned and external channels.
This role stewards the full Womenswear brand ecosystem including global/national brands, concession partners and new-to-Myer brands ensuring consistent, inspiring and commercially effective marketing.
About the role:
- Develop and own the end-to-end Womenswear marketing strategy, aligning category objectives with Myer’s broader fashion and customer strategies.
- Translate commercial plans into customer-facing marketing narratives that differentiate Myer’s Womenswear offer.
- Define campaign priorities and lead the development of seasonal, brand-led and customer-led marketing briefs.
- Shape cohesive storytelling across WOMENSWEAR brands- national, global, and concessions - ensuring alignment with each brand’s positioning while supporting Myer’s overall brand equity.
- Partner with Creative, Retail and Media teams to ensure campaigns are insight-led, high quality and built for channel effectiveness.
- Build category trade plans that align with buying and merchandise strategies, promotional cadences and retail events.
- Work closely with the Retail Media team to develop media and exposure plans for Womenswear brand partners.
- Align internal and external brand priorities with retail media offerings, ensuring a cohesive, customer‑centric marketing approach.
- Ensure that integrated retail media activity supports brand partners' objectives while driving category outcomes
- Establish strong relationships with Buying and Merchandise teams to align on product priorities, range launches, and brand opportunities.
- Collaborate with CRM, Digital, PR, Events, and Social teams to deliver integrated, customer-first marketing programs.
About you:
- Extensive experience in fashion, or category marketing with ownership of category or brand marketing plans.
- Strong commercial focus with ability to interpret trade data, customer insights and performance analytics.
- Demonstrated experience working with Buying/Merch teams or product-led stakeholders in a retail environment.
- Proven ability to develop strategic marketing plans and translate them into effective multi-channel execution.
- Strong creative judgement and experience briefing creative/agency teams.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong project management capability and ability to manage competing deadlines.
