Female Disability Support Worker – Complex Mental Health | Penrith & St Marys.
CSA Care Services is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to join our growing team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants.

About the Role
This position involves supporting a 40-year-old male NDIS participant living with schizophrenia and other participants within our services. You will play an important role in promoting independence, community participation, daily living skills, and achieving individual goals while delivering safe, respectful, and person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support participants with community access and social participation.
- Assist with daily living activities and skill development.
- Promote independence and wellbeing.
- Follow individual support plans, behaviour support strategies, and risk management plans.
- Complete accurate progress notes and incident reports.
- Work collaboratively with the participant's support network and multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements
- Female applicant (genuine occupational requirement under applicable legislation).
- Previous experience in disability support, mental health, or a similar role.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or a related qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Experience supporting participants with complex mental health conditions.
- Strong understanding of person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practice.
- Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain if required).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unrestricted working rights.
Highly Desirable
- Experience supporting people living with schizophrenia, psychosis, or co-occurring alcohol and other drug (AOD) use.
- Strong incident reporting and shift note writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and proactive in challenging situations.
- Experience working within SIL or other NDIS environments.
