Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into a leadership role? Knox Private Hospital is looking for Associate Nurse Unit Manager’s to join our team. We have excellent leadership roles available in our acute surgical wards (including but not limited to - Orthopaedics, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver), Cardiac and acute medical. This exciting opportunity is open to experienced RN’s who are looking to inspire teams and ensure best practice patient care.
About us
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
Our theatre complex comprises of 15 theatres including both a Day Procedure Centre and a Hybrid Theatre supporting a range of acute specialties including General, Endoscopy, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, ENT & Paediatric surgery
As a ANUM – your responsibilities will include:

Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement

Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.

Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and leadership team to ensure compliance with the strategic direction of the department and organisation.

Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.

Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
-
Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
-
Undertaking direct patient care, as required

Mentoring of staff including graduate and undergraduate nurse.

Ensure patient flow is managed whilst delivering exceptional standards of patient care and communication

Ensuring a leadership presence within your department
Selection Criteria:
-
Current Registration with AHPRA
-
Working with Children check (if relevant)
-
Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
-
Sound clinical knowledge
-
3 years of clinical experience
-
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
-
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
-
Positive role modelling behaviours

Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
