About the Opportunity
We are seeking engineering undergraduates to undertake a vacation work program of 12 weeks commencing on
Monday 17th November 2026 and ending on
Friday 5th February 2027.
The vacation program will provide an opportunity for students to be mentored by members of our engineering team and work on current Horizon Power projects in areas including:
- Power systems analysis - including connection of distributed energy resources.
- Control philosophy - linked to distributed energy resources control.
- Asset management and standards.
What We Offer
The Summer Vacation Program is offered on a paid full time basis of 37.5 hours per week at our Bentley offices.

You will be required to comply with all of Horizon Powers policies and be ready, willing and able to attend work on a daily basis.
What You’ll Bring
- You must have full working rights in Australia.
- Currently in your third or fourth year of study towards an engineering degree at a university eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
- Willingness and ability to meet pre-employment medical requirements.
- A strong interest in the power industry would be preferred.
