We're looking for a talented Mechatronics Engineer to join our Research and Development team and help bring the next generation of smart products to life.

About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in designing and developing embedded electronic systems that power our innovative product range.
Working alongside Mechanical, Software and Electrical Engineers, you'll contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to testing, validation and commercial release.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work on real products, solve complex technical challenges and help deliver innovative solutions that improve customer outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing

Design embedded electronic systems including low voltage circuitry, custom wiring looms, embedded firmware and hardware integration to support the development of innovative new products.

Develop production ready PCB designs using Altium (or similar PCB design software), selecting components, creating schematics, validating designs and supporting prototype development through to manufacture.

Build and validate intelligent systems by developing embedded software, communication protocols and automated testing while ensuring products meet performance, reliability and compliance requirements.

Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Product Management to integrate electrical, software and mechanical systems into commercially successful products.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation by researching emerging technologies, supporting product improvements, developing technical documentation and contributing to the future direction of BreatheSafe's product portfolio.
About You
You'll be passionate about electronics, embedded systems and product development, with a genuine interest in turning innovative ideas into reliable commercial products.
You'll bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience designing embedded electronic systems and developing products from concept through to manufacture.

Strong PCB design experience using Altium Designer or similar software.

Experience with embedded firmware development and microcontrollers.

Knowledge of circuit design, PCB manufacturing processes and electrical component selection.

Experience with product testing, validation and troubleshooting.

Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
