EstateX Home is a Sydney based renovation and construction company delivering residential and commercial building projects across NSW. We're growing our project delivery team and looking for an experienced building professional to help lead the way.
The Role
We're seeking a licensed builder, ideally someone semi retired and looking for a role that draws on decades of hands on experience without the demands of running a tools on site business. This is a leadership position overseeing project delivery, not a site labouring role.
You'll bring your trade knowledge, industry relationships, and building judgement to guide quoting, scheduling, and quality control across multiple concurrent projects, while mentoring a growing team of contractors and coordinators. Your existing network of trades, suppliers, and industry contacts will be genuinely valued in this role, not just your hours on the clock.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project management for residential and commercial building projects from contract through to completion
- Review and validate quotes, scopes of works, and contractor pricing for accuracy
- Manage relationships with trade contractors and subcontractors, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met
- Provide licensed builder oversight and sign off where required for compliance purposes
- Support scheduling and sequencing across multiple concurrent jobs
- Identify and resolve site issues before they become costly delays
- Mentor junior project coordinators and contractor staff
- Draw on your existing industry contacts to help strengthen our network of trusted trades and suppliers
- Contribute building industry expertise to broader business discussions as needed
What We're Looking For
- Current NSW builder's licence (essential)
- 15+ years of experience in construction, renovations, or new builds
- Strong industry relationships and a good reputation among trades and suppliers
- Proven ability to manage contractors, trades, and project timelines
- Comfortable working with modern tools and reporting (training provided)
- Flexible availability, part time or full time arrangements considered
- Ideal for someone semi retired or transitioning out of full time site work, looking to stay engaged in the industry in a senior advisory capacity
Why Join Us
- Flexible, part time friendly arrangement designed around your availability
- Leadership role that values your experience and relationships over your ability to swing a hammer
- Be part of a growing Sydney business
- Work alongside a driven team without the stress of running your own business
- Referral incentives available for trusted trades or industry contacts you bring on board
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
