Highlighting the importance of this role
Senior Home Care Worker
As a Senior Home Care Worker, you will be looking to develop your career whilst supporting a team of Home Care Workers. Based at our Hervey Bay Office, this opportunity will suit someone wanting a varied and rewarding role supported by dedicated and caring Service Leaders.
The types of support you will provide include but are not limited to:

Admissions and Case Management of CHSP and HCP (Level 1&2) Clients;

Mentoring and training of Home Care Workers;

Planning and Supervising group outings and activities;
-
Providing direct personal care assistance to clients for example showering, dressing and toileting;
-
Assisting clients with medications;
-
Strengthening relationships with clients and families and ensuring customer satisfaction;

UKG support.

Participating in the review of client care plans, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate and reporting observed changes to client health to the Service Coordinator/Registered Nurse.

In order to be successful, your skills, qualifications and experience will include:

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community), Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) or equivalent;

Completion of following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication and CHCCCS011 - Meet personal support needs.;

Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates;
-
Possess a current National Police Certificate - or the ability to acquire;

Current driver's licence and a willingness to use your own comprehensively insured vehicle that is suitable and available to be used for work purposes;

Applied knowledge of current aged care legislation, funding mechanisms, government policies, and statutory regulations;
-
Minimum two-year experience in leading a service delivery team and planning, co-ordinating and implementing care services in the home care/community care environment;
-
Ability to use mobile devices to record and manage information, as well as the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English;

Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
