The Purpose
The purpose of the Delivery Lead role is to lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring outcomes are aligned to business strategy and deliver measurable value. The role provides end-to-end delivery leadership, overseeing planning, execution, governance, financial management and stakeholder engagement to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
As a key interface between delivery teams, business stakeholders, senior leaders and external partners, the Delivery Lead drives alignment, manages dependencies and risks, and ensures a clear focus on outcomes. The role fosters collaboration, removes impediments, develops team capability and promotes a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
Key Outcomes the Role Owns:

Lead the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring effective prioritisation, dependency management, and proactive resolution of risks and issues.

Provide delivery leadership and strategic advice to stakeholders on delivery approaches, governance, reporting and execution best practices.

Drive portfolio planning, estimation and sequencing activities to maintain a sustainable delivery pipeline aligned to business priorities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery teams, business stakeholders, senior leaders and external partners to enable alignment, informed decision-making and successful outcomes.

Lead, coach and develop Project Managers and Business Analysts, fostering accountability, delivery excellence and effective management of escalated risks, issues and dependencies.

Ensure consistent application of delivery frameworks, governance standards and controls, with clear reporting on delivery performance, outcomes and value realised.

Optimise resource capacity and capability across the portfolio to ensure delivery commitments are achieved and future demand is effectively managed.

Champion continuous improvement and industry-leading delivery practices, identifying emerging trends and opportunities to enhance organisational performance and value delivery.
You’ll likely be a strong fit for this role if:
-
7+ years’ experience in Delivery Lead, Program Manager, Senior Project Manager or equivalent roles leading complex technology, transformation or enterprise delivery initiatives.

Proven experience delivering portfolios, programs or projects end-to-end, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, governance, risk and business outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across business, technology and external partners.

Experience leading and developing delivery teams, including Project Managers and Business Analysts, while fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.

Strong track record in portfolio planning, dependency management, resource optimisation and delivery reporting to support informed decision-making and value realisation.

Knowledge of payments, banking, financial services or technology environments, including an understanding of relevant operational, regulatory and industry considerations.
