As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Administration Officer to join our busy finance team at our Brunswick Office.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a hands-on and autonomous position suited to an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across finance and administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment scheduling, reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Process supplier purchase orders, price reviews and confirmations, supplier account setup, and maintenance work alongside our Operations Manager.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, allocate and receipt incoming payments, including debtor follow-up and distribution of customer statements, Monitor overdue accounts and maintain effective credit control procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
- Liaise with banking institutions and manage store float requirements.
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation systems.
- Support the ongoing improvement of finance systems and processes.
- Collaborate with employees across multiple business units.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Administration, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or similar finance position.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- A reliable, proactive, and self-motivated approach to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, team-focused attitude.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
