About the role:
We are seeking a Trust Officer to join our Brisbane office. Working closely with a dynamic and highly successful team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and coordinate the National general trust accounts, including trust bank reconciliations, trust receipting, trust payments, trust journals, PEXA verifications, trust account bank signatories and statutory deposit
- Manage and coordinate the controlled money accounts, including account openings and closures, month end reconciliations, and processing receipts and payments in 3E
- Manage and coordinate the trust audits
- Processing of daily trust EFT receipting, including management of the trust unknowns ledger
- Assist with new client/matter openings resulting from the Elite 3E workflow process
- Assist with other Finance team related duties and enquiries as and when required
The successful candidate:
You will be supported in this close knit team, given training, mentoring and guidance from your peers and leader. You will need to be self-motivated, energetic and adaptable in this dynamic environment. Ideal background and skills include:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the professional services industry
- Knowledge of trust regulations of VIC, QLD and NSW an advantage
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working with 3E Practice Management System or similar
- Organise and prioritise workload, be flexible, work autonomously and to tight timeframes
- Communicate effectively with all members of the practice
- Respect and enhance CBP's culture and align with CBP's strategic goals
