Are you passionate about BBQs, outdoor cooking and helping customers find the perfect setup?
We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Casual Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Garbutt / Domain Central. Whether you’re already a BBQ enthusiast or simply keen to learn, this is an opportunity to work with a great range of BBQs, smokers, outdoor cooking equipment and accessories.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers, understand their needs and help them choose the right BBQ, smoker or outdoor setting.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable advice on gas, pellet and charcoal BBQs.
- Share tips and recommendations on rubs, sauces, accessories and outdoor cooking.
- Keep the showroom clean, organised and looking its best.
- Restock shelves and assist with visual displays and product presentation.
- Process sales and payments accurately using our POS system.
- Assist customers with product queries, warranties and after-sales support.
- Help receive and unload deliveries and maintain organised stock.
- Assemble display models and assist customers with larger or heavier items when required.
What We’re Looking For
- An interest in BBQs, outdoor cooking and entertaining — or a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A friendly, confident and approachable personality.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, public holidays and busy seasonal periods such as Father’s Day and summer.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and safely lifting/carrying heavy products and boxes.
- Retail or sales experience is an advantage, but enthusiasm and the right attitude are just as important.
