As the Plant Mechanic - Parts Exchange Rebuild Technician you will be based in the Geraldton workshop reporting into the Workshop Supervisor.
WesTrac Geraldton is seeking a fully qualified technician to join our Parts Exchange workshop, specialising in the professional rebuild of Caterpillar components. If you take pride in precision workmanship, quality rebuilds, and supporting machine reliability across the region, this is a rewarding opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a dedicated workshop environment.

Roster:
Monday - Friday - 10.5hrs (Inclusive of a 30min unpaid meal break)
What You’ll Do
Rebuild Caterpillar Parts Exchange components to OEM specifications
Conduct strip-downs, inspections, measurements and fault identification
Assemble components using manufacturer guidelines, tooling and procedures
Complete documentation and quality checks in line with rebuild standards
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
Work closely with Parts, Workshop and Service teams to meet turnaround targets
What We’re Looking For
Trade Qualified — Australian-recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate
Experience — Proven background rebuilding heavy equipment components (Caterpillar experience highly regarded)
Technical Capability — Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality
Safety & Standards — Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement
Team Focus — Reliable, collaborative and accountable
