XtraClubs is looking for an experienced Retail Manager to lead our new Parramatta club.

About the role
As Retail Manager, you will own the performance and day-to-day operation of the Parramatta club. You will lead the team, manage staffing and budgets, maintain strong safety and operating standards, and ensure every member receives a consistently excellent experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role covering people management, commercial performance, customer service, workplace safety, facility presentation, maintenance coordination and incident management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, train, coach and performance-manage Club Attendants
- Build and manage rosters that meet customer demand and labour budgets
- Oversee the club’s daily operations, presentation, cleanliness and safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintain consistently high customer service standards across every member touchpoint
- Manage escalated member concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved
- Monitor club budgets and performance, analyse variances and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, technicians and internal support teams
- Conduct regular operational and safety checks and arrange required maintenance
- Manage and document incidents, corrective actions and follow-up requirements
- Support membership growth, retention and local promotional activities
- Provide clear operational and performance reporting to senior management
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Proven leadership and people-management experience in a retail, wellness, fitness, leisure, hospitality or comparable customer-facing environment
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, coach and performance-manage frontline employees
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including experience resolving escalated concerns
- Experience preparing rosters, managing labour costs and operating within budgets
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, incident reporting and corrective-action processes
- Strong organisational, commercial and problem-solving skills
- Confidence coordinating contractors, suppliers and maintenance activities
- Competence using rostering, booking, access-control and standard office software
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these before commencing
Desirable:
- A diploma or degree in business, hospitality management or a related field
- Previous responsibility for a site-level budget or profit and loss performance
- Experience in the wellness, fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail sectors
- Experience in a multi-site or high-volume operation
- Experience supporting grand openings, local partnerships, events or member-engagement initiatives

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position. Availability across the club’s operating hours, including some early mornings, evenings and weekends, will be required.
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
