Centre Director
Milligan House Child Care Centre is looking for a confident and knowledgeable Centre Director to lead our 49 place, non-profit centre. Located in Bunbury, this established service has provided care to families for 40 years and offers a welcoming and homely environment.
Do you value quality care, strong family connections and team work? If you do, then this is the role for you!
But… This is more than just a role. It is also an exciting opportunity for the right person to step into a centre that is well positioned for success. With the ongoing support of a Management Committee and a committed and established team, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on what matters most, which is supporting children, building relationships with families, leading and inspiring a dedicated team and continuing to grow our centre’s reputation within the community.
Who we are looking for:
While previous leadership experience is highly regarded, we recognise that great leaders come from diverse backgrounds. For us, enthusiasm, commitment and a genuine passion for children, families and team culture are just as important as experience.
Criteria:
Acting as Nominated Supervisor for the service (non-negotiable)
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum)
Experience in a Centre Director/2IC role (long daycare setting)
Must hold:
WA Working with Children’s Check
Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willing to obtain)
A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Law and a passion for high quality education
First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates or willing to obtain
Desirable:
Natural leadership, strong time management and the ability to maintain a talented team
Ability to lead with kindness, integrity and enthusiasm. Willing to become a valued part of our centre family
If you have the right attitude, willingness to learn and a desire to make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
A position summary is available on request.
What makes us different?
This is not a role where you’ll be expected to carry the entire centre on your shoulders. We have worked hard to create a stable, supportive environment that allows our director to focus on leadership, relationships and quality outcomes.
You’ll be supported by:
# Administrative assistance to help manage the day-to-day operational requirements
# Support from an industry specific advisory service
# Generous budgets to maintain high standards and invest in quality resources and improvements
# Established policies and procedures
# A team of dedicated, long-term educators who are experienced, committed and enthusiastic about what they do
# A management committee made up of families and community members who are invested in the success of the centre and committed to providing support.
# Employee Assistance Program
This position offers the rare opportunity to step into a well-established, family orientated, non-profit service with strong foundations already in place.
We would like someone who will embrace our culture, value our people and help lead us into the future.
Pay: $95,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
