Studio Manager (Casual) – Dazzle Me Dancewear & Costuming (DMDC)
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Studio Manager to oversee daily operations within our costume production studio.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a structured yet creative environment and is confident managing workflow, people, and priorities throughout the day.
Position Details
- Casual position
- Approx. 19–23 hours per week
- Set working days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (non-negotiable)
- Standard working hours: 9:00am–5:00/5:30pm or 10:00am–5:00/5:30pm
- Applicants must be available for full-day shifts within these hours
- $30 per hour, with opportunity for growth and pay increases over time
About the Role
Your primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the daily workflow of our production team, ensuring all tasks are running smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule.
You will supervise a team of rhinestoning staff (3 team members), while coordinating with our admin and warehouse staff to keep all areas of the business aligned.
When management tasks are under control, you will assist with various hands-on studio tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily workflow across the studio
- Monitor staff progress and ensure production goals are met
- Identify delays or issues early and proactively resolve them
- Provide clear direction and support to team members
- Coordinate with admin and warehouse staff to align priorities
- Maintain an organised and efficient working environment
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting with rhinestoning (training provided)
- Supporting online store operations, including learning and using Shopify
- Assisting with stock purchasing and inventory organisation
About You
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident leading and managing a small team
- Proactive and able to problem-solve independently
- Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn and contribute across multiple areas of the business
This role is not suited to someone who:
- Requires constant direction
- Struggles with organisation or time management
- Is uncomfortable taking initiative or leading others
