High School English Tutor Wanted!
We're a bright, upbeat tutoring centre looking for a High School English Tutor to join our team. Our team is made up of enthusiastic, passionate tutors who genuinely enjoy helping students learn, grow and build confidence.
About the Role:
You'll be working with high school students across English, including students studying different levels of the NSW curriculum, particularly the HSC.
Private lessons are structured around each student's individual needs. Tutors are expected to tailor and adjust lessons to suit the student's ability, learning style and the texts being studied at their school. We work around your availability and preferences. Tutors are paid per student, giving you the flexibility to work as much or as little as suits your schedule.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who is:
- Local to Panania or the surrounding area
- Confident teaching high school English
- Has achieved a strong result in HSC English Advanced, English Extension 1 or English Extension 2, OR is currently studying an English-related degree at university, such as English, Literature, Communications, Law or a related field
- Able to confidently explain English concepts, essay writing and analytical skills
- Friendly, enthusiastic and approachable
- Comfortable working with students of different ages and abilities
- Reliable, professional and genuinely enjoys helping students succeed
- A naturally positive, smiley person who brings good energy to the room
