About the Role
Favourhill Care is currently seeking a warm, confident and reliable female Support Worker to support a female participant based in the Waterford area.
This role would suit someone patient, outgoing, emotionally mature and able to build a genuine connection with the participant over time. The participant is looking for someone who can gently encourage her to step outside of her comfort zone, explore new activities and increase her confidence in the community.
The support will primarily involve community access, social participation and capacity building. There may also be occasional in-home support with activities of daily living when the participant is not feeling able to access the community.

About the Participant’s Preferred Support Worker
The participant would prefer a female Support Worker who is confident, patient, friendly and easy to talk to. Someone with lived experience as a parent would be highly regarded.
The right person will be comfortable around animals and ideally have an interest in dogs, cats, horses or outdoor activities. The participant is also interested in trail riding, tattoos and trying new things with the right support and encouragement.
We are looking for someone who can maintain professional boundaries, respect the participant’s personal values and provide support in a non-judgemental, participant-led way.
