Group Digital Editor
Seven West Media is looking for a digital editor to oversee the day-to-operations of WA’s No.1 websites thewest.com.au, perthnow.com.au as well as the national digital newspaper, thenightly.com.au.
In this senior leadership position you will liaise with the newsroom leaders to help devise strategies to drive audience and reader engagement.
About the role:
Oversee all three of WAN’s websites – The Nighty, thewest.com.au and PerthNow.
Build and manage the teams responsible for audience, content creation and social media across all three websites (including the Perth and Sydney offices).
Manage all analytics to build a data-driven culture within the newsroom.
Define and execute search, social media, video and off-platform strategies.
Stay ahead of industry, SEO and social media trends, and discover new methods of engaging audiences.
About you:
Intimate knowledge of online publishing and digital news
Substantial journalism experience
A strong knowledge of digital audiences across all platforms
The ability to work under pressure
Strong writing and communication skills
An eye for detail, a head for news and a hunger for a good yarn.
