The Role
We are looking for exceptional university students and graduates who have mastered their subjects at a tertiary level. You will be matched with students based on their learning style and your specific area of expertise. You won't be given a generic script — you will tailor each lesson to the student's individual gaps and goals, whether that's a first-year student needing foundational support or a final-year student preparing for a capstone or exam.
What We Require (Strict & Non-Negotiable)
- Academic performance: A Distinction/High Distinction average (WAM/GPA) in the subject area(s) you wish to tutor, or equivalent demonstrated mastery.
- Enrolment/qualification: Currently enrolled in, or a graduate of, a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- Subject mastery: Strong command of the specific unit(s) or subject area(s) you're applying to teach, you should be able to speak to the content confidently, not just the grade.
- Check: Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English, with a patient, intuitive teaching style.
- Reliability: Commitment to consistent weekly sessions (no high turnover).
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
