About the Role
Emerald Twinklekids Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team.
We are looking for a confident and experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality early childhood education and creating a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment for children.
This position would suit an experienced ECT who enjoys taking ownership of their kindergarten program, working collaboratively with educators and families, and contributing positively to the overall quality and culture of the service.
About You
To be considered for this position, you must hold current full VIT registration as an Early Childhood Teacher.
We are ideally looking for someone who has:
- More than 5 years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher – highly preferred
- Current full VIT registration
- An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards
- Experience planning, implementing and evaluating high-quality kindergarten programs
- Strong documentation, observation and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and colleagues
- A strong understanding of child development and contemporary early childhood practice
- A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and development
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications, or willingness to obtain/maintain these as required
Key Responsibilities
As our Early Childhood Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver an engaging, play-based kindergarten program that responds to children's individual interests, strengths and developmental needs
- Develop meaningful learning experiences aligned with the VEYLDF and EYLF
- Complete observations, assessments, learning documentation and transition statements as required
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families
- Work collaboratively with educators and the leadership team
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming learning environment
- Ensure practices comply with relevant regulations, policies and child-safe requirements
- Provide guidance and support to educators working within the kindergarten program
