Part-Time Position
About the Role
As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.
A working day will involve:
- Preparing and serving resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:
- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should possess the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

About the facility
Nestled in the quiet residential suburb of Yokine, the recently rebuilt, (former Stirling Community Hospital) is now the modern and well-appointed Stirling Aged Care Facility. Aegis Stirling offers residential care for 133 reside and utilize state-of-the-art equipment - providing Residents with quality care and easier working conditions for our staff.
